ABOUT US:

Millennium Therapy is looking to add a PRN Restorative Technician/Aide to our staff in Cedar Rapids, IA for the Skilled Nursing setting. Millennium Therapy is a patient focused, therapist owned, and therapist managed company that operates throughout Iowa, providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in various settings. Our interdisciplinary teams succeed through efficient communication and support from our local home office.

PAY:

$15-$17 negotiable

HOURS:

5 - 10 hrs. flexible

REHABILITATION TECHNICIANS (REHAB TECHS) QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; one year experience in a health care setting preferred.
  • Demonstrates effective English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers. • Demonstrates good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform basic math skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Current CPR certification.

REHABILITATION TECHNICIANS (REHAB TECHS) REQUIREMENTS:

  • Assists in restorative therapy services provision by carrying out delegated, selected, ambulation, transfer, grooming, feeding, and other assigned programs regarding the patient's care under the supervision of the therapist or the assistant.
  • Assists with individual/supervised/group exercises as assigned and under the direction and supervision of the therapist and/or therapy assistant.
  • Responsible for ensuring documentation of program interventions and outcomes or responses to restorative services provided. Ensure all program documentation is consistent with the patient’s care plan. Provides written reports on patient’s progress.
  • Provides/assists in the transportation of patients/residents to restorative training areas.
  • Communicating with therapists/nursing staff as needed about the patient's care and any changes in their conditions. Communicate with the patient about their care.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities as assigned by the Area Manager.
  • Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed the expectations of those utilizing or impacted by the department.
 

Compensation

$15 - $17 per hour
